In this episode Joe and Brandi talk to Brandi's mom, Patti Roberts about her life, her faith and her struggles with Cancer. Plus we get to know a wonderful ministry she started called Patti Cakes Care Bags where she donates care bags for women going through chemo. If you'd like to help donate money to help purchase bags, items, or shipping of these bags, you can find out how you can help by writing Patti at Patticakes49@yahoo.com. If you want to donate or if you know someone who needs a bag please contact her. It's all free of charge to those who need them.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! In this Christmas bonus spectacular Joe and Brandi play their favorite Christmas songs for you and no, Sufjan Stevens is not invited!
Joe decides to give out reading assignments this week, so go ahead and read a New York Times article called A Baker's First Amendment Rights and also a short story in the New Yorker called Cat Person. After that Joe and Brandi discuss what they would sell if they owned a store in the Ice Breaker and then get into the Bible Study by discussing the first two chapters of Esther. All this and very little else in this week's episode.
No episode this week, so enjoy this bonus episode in which Joe takes us through Bob Dylan's Christian years. It only lasted three years and three albums, but his interest in faith began started before 1979 and may still be ongoing.
This week Brandi talks a little bit more about her diet before Joe tells us all about the new Patreon!!! Donate some cash and get cool stuff like... thank yous and silly names. Anywho, in the Fellowship the two talk about tattoos they want to get before discussing Places they don't mind waiting in the Ice Breaker, and then finally they talk about chapter 11 of Marcus Borg's book The Heart of Christianity in which they discuss pluralism. All this and very little else in this week's episode.
